This method for making dreadlocks is tried and true and is known for making great looking dreadlocks in a matter of hours. To start making dreadlocks with the backcombing method section your hair into .5″ sections, you can use rubberbands to hold your sections in place while you finish sectioning your hair. Once you have completed your sectioning you can start making dreadlocks. Start in the back and work your way to the front. To start backcombing take the rubberband off the section you are going to backcomb. Then start at the root and tease the hair towards your scalp. You will only work with three inches of hair at a time so you don’t push to much hair at a time. Continue doing this until you reach the end of the hair. Once you have completed your dreadlock you can put a rubberband on the root and one on the tip. Backcomb all the sections. Once you have completed the backcombing you can add some of your dreadlocks maintenance cream to each dread to finish it off.

Black, blond, and brown. What makes the color of hair different? The answer lies in melanophore. The hair roots contain pigment cells called melanin, which creates a black pigment. Melanophore is a chromatophore that sends pigment to new hair. The greater the amount of pigment sent to the hair, the darker the hair becomes. On the contrary, as the amount of pigment sent is reduced, the hair color turns brown and then blond.

Some people believe that differences in hair color are caused by the differences in the intensity of ultraviolet rays contained in the sunlight, to which the hair is exposed. A baby’s hair begins to grow around the third month after conception. {Trichocysts} are first formed. They develop into hair follicles as the fetus grows, then become downy hairs several centimeters long when the baby is born. The total number of hairs is determined before the baby is born. After that, the number of hairs never increase only decrease.

Methods for making dreadlocks

Backcombing

Twisting: This method for making dreadlocks is very simple. You will need to section your hair into .5″ sections. After you have made your section twist the hair in a clockwise motion so you have created a twist. Once you have finished doing this to all of your sections use your dreadlocks maintenance cream to hold the dreadlocks together. You should maintain your new dreadlocks by twisting them each day and adding maintenance cream once every day or two.

Brush Rubbing: This method of making dreadlocks is quite easy and stress free. You will need a soft bristle brush, residue free shampoo, and a dreadlocks maintenance product. Your hair should be shorter than 3 inches to make dreadlocks using this method. To make dreadlocks with this method rub the brush around on your hair in a clockwise motion. After you have rubbed your head for a few minutes little knotted balls will start to form. These little knotted balls are your dreadlocks and you need to twist them each day to maintain them. Once every three days you should use your dreadlocks maintenance cream on your dreadlocks.

On a normal scalp there are about 100 to 150 thousand hair fibers.
